Welcome to LOCKOUT! This WCX utility was compiled with wcCODE 4.2
and is compatible with all DOS versions of WC! from 4.01 up.
The program is pretty well self explanatory, but here's the brief.
Adjust the lockout.cfg file for your needs. An example is provided,
but here's the way it works:
LINE 1 - SysOp name exactly as entered in Makewild.
LINE 2 - BBS name exactly as it is entered in Makewild.
LINE 3 - Registration number (LockOut is shareware).
LINE 4 - wcCODE appliation name. This would be in the format
wccode.wcx. Where wccode.wcx is the name of your
wcx application file.
Now, edit the lockout.dat file. Put each security profile and user
name in the file one line at a time like in my example. The same
DAT file handles both. Use an unformatted text editor for this.
Now, put all three files (lockout.wcx, lockout.dat, and lockout.cfg)
in the SAME DIRECTORY as the wcx application you want to run. These
files MUST reside in the same directory as your wcCODE application or
LOCKOUT will not work.
Now, remember how you changed or added the wcx function you want
LOCKOUT to screen? Go into Makemenu, select that same wcx command up,
and change the parameter to LOCKOUT.WCX instead of the wcx you are
now running. That's it. Save everything and LOCKOUT is now screening
your program for you.
There is a nag screen and 10 second delay until LOCKOUT is registered.
But otherwise the program is completely functional.
Registration is $5 US. As with all our software, all upgrades are free.
Since LOCKOUT is run from each wcvCODE application's separate directory,
you can run the same program on all your wcCODE applications.
